Beautiful Sunday meeting at EVC. Cubs learning sign language, Ventures learning Morse code, Girls Scouts practicing formations, and Boy Scouts relaxing a bit after summer camp at Hi Sierra
The start of a great tradition for LDBD - Summer Camp at Hi Sierra. You really do get to create a lifetime of memories here. Special thanks to our scoutmaster ANH Tri and all the leaders taking time to spend with the boys !
Tons of fun for the cub scouts - making their own pizza, 4 hours of swimming, basketball, obstacle course and relay races, basketball, corn hole toss, hot dogs, outdoor movie, campfire w s'mores, staying up way too late, and some very tired cub scout leaders. Can't wait to do it again!
Just a slow week with not too many pictures as we prepare for Boy Scouts Hi-Sierra summer camp, Cub Scouts backyard campout, and the Venturing trip to SoCal!
Typical LDBD meeting: learning Morse Code, three legged races, and making woggles!
Starting to feel like summer with a warm sunny day. The kids were practicing the patrol method by having the Venture Scouts teach and train the Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts first aid techniques. LDBD also continues to grow with new members each and every week.
We had an amazing first camping trip of the year at Camp Tamarancho in the Marin mountains. So much fun hiking into camp, cooking contest, canoeing, night games, campfires, and just overall a great time. Loads of pictures to remind us of a great weekend together.
Today was a very proud day for LDBD as we received a commendation from Mayor Sam Liccardo and Councilman Tam Nguyen for our volunteer and community service work at the Vietnamese Heritage Garden. It was also an excellent opportunity for our scout to see and engage in the daily work of our local government.
